The first franchise of the famous Mauritian hotel brand, the Beachcomber French Riviera in Sophia Antipolis zone, located in Biot is more than a hotel, it is a Resort. A mix of Creole architecture in an lush greenery composed of scrublands and colorful provençal hinterland.
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is the pioneer and historical leader of the hotel industry in Mauritius. With the creation in 1952 of the Park Hotel, it is a collection of 10 resorts that have appeared over the years, with the Royal Palm Mauritius in 1985. Beachcomber has brought the tradition of Mauritian hospitality beyond the shores of the island with the launch of Saint Anne Resort & Spa in Seychelles in 2002. The Group is expanding its collection with the integration of Beachcomber French Riviera Resort & Spa is located on the French Riviera in France. The collection of 10 resorts offers a choice of accommodation ranging from rooms and apartments, to suites and villas. The Group is also engaged into Social Responsibility with the Fondation Espoir Développement (FED), created in 1999 with the participation of hotels and employees. The main projects of the Foundation are multiple: Youth Employment Project (EYP), a vocational integration of out-of-school youth through training and internships. There is also a collaboration with NGOs, schools, associations. Moreover regional projects with some youth supervision framed by the Love and Hope Association; computer literacy; monitoring of young people through the “Duke of Edinburgh International Award” program, participation of sports clubs in the area at the 2015 Beachcomber UTRB Trail Organization Social Responsibility – Local Hands Program launched in 2006, supporting small local artisans by offering them training and support in their approach of creation, production, marketing and sales. Sustainable commitment has to be finally mentioned through environmental actions, such as the EarthCheck label, showing that sustainable development and the protection of the environment are concrete subjects within the group that has implemented, among other initiatives, practices that conserve energy and prioritize renewable energies. These actions in favor of sustainable development are recognized. Two of hotels have recently obtained EarthCheck Benchmarked Bronze accreditation for their commitment continue to adopt responsible environmental practices.
