Indeed, once upon time, Nicolas Jay<\/strong>, then baptized P\u00e9p\u00e9 Nicolas<\/strong>, a former mayor of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville<\/strong> and an alpine<\/strong> farmer acquired this typical mountain chalet<\/strong>, by the time known as La Chasse<\/strong>. Then, he started to transmit his vision to maintain the balance of his fragile valleys<\/strong>, by growing his own vegetables<\/strong> and hiring some cows<\/strong>, goats<\/strong> but also pigs<\/strong>, chickens<\/strong> and rabbits<\/strong>. This farm<\/strong> was then completed from 1986, with the arrival of the Suchet<\/strong> family, by donkeys<\/strong>, horses<\/strong>, ducks<\/strong> and even guinea fowls<\/strong>. Some of the local farmers<\/strong> were happy to rent their animals, and gaining com. Furthermore, this new management was the beginning of a new era for this bucolic pasture<\/strong>, since this tribe paid many efforts to gradually transform the place into a true alpine<\/strong> sanctuary. From the early renovation works until the latest extensions, Thierry Suchet<\/strong>, helped by his brother Eric<\/strong> and his cousin Bruno<\/strong>, invested very much implication<\/strong> and money<\/strong> (some say more than one million euros) to reach their goal. Without forgetting the numerous obstacles<\/strong>, inherent to an establishment like this, not so close from a road<\/strong>, plus bringing up there the necessary electricity and water, at least to create a certain comfort<\/strong>. Thereafter, thanks to an additional administrative authorization, an access path<\/strong> and a parking<\/strong> were settled, so that the visitors from all over the world, may easily get there. The result is this panoramic terrace<\/strong> counting 120 seats on the terrace<\/strong> and 100 places settings inside the chalet<\/strong>, whose vintage interior fittings <\/strong>were imagined by Magali Suchet<\/strong>. She’s the wife of Thierry Suchet<\/strong> and she decided to recall the original spirit of the place, which used to be a barn<\/strong>, nowadays married with a contemporary and cozy design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
