Founded in 1865 by Jules Jaluzot, the Printemps group is one of the most illustrious French department stories, based in Paris but not only. At the occasion of those 2022 Xmas<\/strong> holidays, the famous Printemps<\/strong> department store invites a new interpretation of Santa Claus<\/strong>, this time playing the role of Monsieur Loyal<\/strong> character. According to the illustrating<\/strong> talents of the German<\/strong> artist Olaf Hajek<\/strong>, whose artwork is dedicated to acrylic<\/strong> creation tainted with a hint of artificial patina<\/strong> technique, mainly through the realization of cardboards<\/strong>, inspired by the style of Cuban<\/strong> advertising posters from the 1960s <\/strong>(photo credits: Printemps).<\/p>\n

A good way to navigate in this sort of phantasmagoric theater<\/strong>, designed as a real extravagant Christmas<\/strong> circus. That’s why you could meet the Ringmaster<\/strong> played by Santa Claus<\/strong>, surrounded by magical<\/strong> characters of clowns<\/strong>, along orchestras<\/strong> and trapeze<\/strong> artists, human cannonballs<\/strong>, tightrope<\/strong> and stilt<\/strong> walkers and other acrobats<\/strong> executing fabulous tricks<\/strong>. In fact, this imaginary<\/strong> trop, both reuniting human<\/strong> and animal<\/strong> dreamlike characters, may be more admired in the heart of the historical<\/strong> site of the Printemps Haussmann<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Therefore, no less than 650<\/strong> hours of installation occurred day and night, during nearly 3 weeks, in order to assembly those opulent Christmas<\/strong> windows, which were lately inaugurated by the artists Isabelle Huppert<\/strong> and Naomi Campbell<\/strong>, friends of Maison Loewe<\/strong>, partner of this 2022<\/strong> edition, supervised by Jonathan Anderson<\/strong>, DA<\/strong> of Loewe<\/strong> and accompanied by Jean-Marc Bellaiche<\/strong>, as CEO<\/strong> of Printemps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
