Among this huge selection of wines <\/strong>and domains<\/strong>, you could have a look at the Ch\u00e2teau de la Jaubertie<\/strong>. This former hunting lodge<\/strong> for Henri IV<\/strong>, that was embellished in the 18th century by L\u00e9on Beylet<\/strong>, also known as the personal doctor<\/strong> of Marie Antoinette<\/strong>. After this parenthesis, it is a good occasion to discover those wines<\/strong> from Bergerac<\/strong>, situated a few minutes away from Monbazillac<\/strong> in the middle of 52 hectares of vineyards<\/strong>. From this point of view, you may be surely seduced by the personality of the wines<\/strong> promised here, issued from the 52 hectares of vineyards<\/strong> of this estate<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Therefore, here is produced authentic AOC Bergerac<\/strong> wines, either made from red<\/strong>, white<\/strong> and ros\u00e9<\/strong><\/em> versions, all matured in this castle<\/strong>, adorned with beautiful arched doors<\/strong>. In those cellars<\/strong> cohabit modern stainless steel vats<\/strong>, along random oak barrels<\/strong> in which the best plots<\/strong> get aged, often surrounded by art installations<\/strong> and exhibitions<\/strong>. <\/div>\n

If you have the privilege to pursue your visit<\/strong> in the vast tasting room<\/strong>, as a testimony of the historic heritage<\/strong> from the Ch\u00e2teau de la Jaubertie<\/strong>, you may surely appreciate the full range of those wines<\/strong>. Among them, we invite you to discover the famous Cuv\u00e9e Tradition 2021<\/strong><\/em>, mostly composed from Sauvignon<\/strong> and a slice of S\u00e9millon<\/strong> grapes, harvested on a softly sloped plateau<\/strong><\/em>, laying on some clay-limestone<\/strong> soil. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rich of a planting density of 5000 vines<\/strong> per hectare, those vineyards<\/strong> are located on a sunny exposition<\/strong> and protected from the South-Western<\/strong> winds by a curtain of trees. Those various assets<\/strong> offer this wine<\/strong> its particular character<\/strong>, even fulfilled with organic<\/strong> touch, since the conversion of those vineyards<\/strong>, initiated from 2005, including typical biodynamics<\/strong> practices such as tillage<\/strong><\/em>.<\/div>\n

Nonetheless, this juice<\/strong>, coldly fermented<\/strong> then lied on the lees<\/strong>, is composed from mechanically harvested<\/strong> grapes, early in the morning to avoid any oxidation<\/strong>. Adding to this, a part from those grapes<\/strong> are vinified in old barrels<\/strong> in order to obtain more complexity<\/strong>, with the result a pale yellow<\/strong> colored wine<\/strong>, displaying various flavors of exotic fruits<\/strong>, along aromas of blackcurrant<\/strong>. A good balanced wine<\/strong>, full of explicit savors<\/strong> and sustainable length<\/strong> in mouth, ideal as an aperitif<\/strong> or even with seafood<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
