Founded by Marion Weber<\/strong>, who has been developing, since a young age<\/strong>, her own cosmetics<\/strong>, the Oden<\/strong><\/a> project highlights different benefits<\/strong> from nature<\/strong>, directly on your skin<\/strong>. Officially known as the natural Huiles Botaniques d’Oden<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, those botanical oils<\/strong> are grown and processed in France<\/strong>, thanks to a short circuit<\/strong> that is specially applied to cosmetics<\/strong>. There you could find pure vegetable<\/strong>, virgin<\/strong> and first cold pressed<\/strong> oils, thus without any added chemistry<\/strong>, water<\/strong> and of course nor animal testing <\/strong>(photo credits: Oden).<\/p>\n

Indeed, the seeds<\/strong>, used for the cosmetics<\/strong> recipes, are pressed in small quantities<\/strong>, in order to provide you a quality and fresh oil<\/strong>, full of Omega<\/strong> 3, 6 and 9 and other active ingredients<\/strong>, like vitamins<\/strong> E<\/strong> and A<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving been passionate about beauty<\/strong> and plants<\/strong> for a long time, I quickly became aware of the composition of the treatments<\/strong> I used. I noticed that cosmetic<\/strong> brands were not using local<\/strong> natural ingredients<\/strong> in their products. However, French nature<\/strong> is full of interesting plants<\/strong> for beauty<\/strong>. I have formed partnerships<\/strong> with more than 30 French farmers<\/strong> to launch a range of rare, precious and very effective vegetable oils<\/strong> for skin care. The Oden<\/strong> adventure could begin… It is in this sense that we source our exceptional ingredients<\/strong> directly from French<\/strong> producers, via a short circuit<\/strong>“, admits Marion Weber<\/strong>, founder of Oden<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That’s why, while using them, you would notice that those products<\/strong> have suitable affinities<\/strong> with any casual skin<\/strong>, due to the same fatty acid<\/strong> compositions<\/strong> as intercellular<\/strong> cement, forming your epidermis<\/strong>, helping your skin<\/strong> to instantly absorb those oils<\/strong>, and last plumped<\/strong> and hydrated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In order to keep this coolness<\/strong> sensation, the Oden laboratory<\/strong><\/a> aimed to revive some forgotten and mostly undervalued plants<\/strong>, although they are supposed to be rich in active ingredients<\/strong>. This initiative may have been possible through a collaboration<\/strong> with some local French<\/strong> farms<\/strong>, willing to participate in this cosmetic<\/strong> industry<\/strong> project. Moreover, and to get the best extracts from nature<\/strong>, the Oden<\/strong><\/a> team has also partnered with female farmers<\/strong> who make jams<\/strong> from French fruits<\/strong>. Then, they send their fruit seeds<\/strong> and pits<\/strong>, that they used to throw away until now.<\/p>\n

With this recycling<\/strong> path, and the involvement of laboratories<\/strong> specializing in plant extraction, the Oden<\/strong><\/a> team have determined the most ecological<\/strong> way to extract rare and precious oils<\/strong> from those extraordinary fruit seeds<\/strong> and kernels<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Among those essences<\/strong>, you could count on a range of six vegetal oils<\/strong> that are already available for all kinds of skins<\/strong> (recommended price for 30ml<\/strong>: 28 euros).<\/p>\n

– Chanvre<\/strong><\/em> (Hemp) for dehydrated<\/b> and irritated<\/strong> skin types
\n– Prune biologique<\/strong><\/em> (Organic plum) for dry<\/strong> skin types
\n– Noisette<\/strong><\/em> (Hazelnut) for average <\/strong>to oily<\/strong> skin types
\n– Amande<\/strong><\/em> (Almond) for sensitive<\/strong> skin types
\n– Onagre<\/strong><\/em> (Evening primrose) for dull<\/strong> skin types
\n– Bourrache<\/strong><\/em> (Borage) for mature<\/strong> skin types<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Oden<\/strong><\/a> team is a huge support for agroecology<\/strong> and consequently, wishes to raise French<\/strong> awareness this new wave<\/em><\/strong> cultural mode. For that reason, the brand<\/strong> planed to create Jardins Cosm\u00e9tiques<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which is a botanic garden<\/strong> where vegetal<\/strong> species<\/strong> would be planted in harmony<\/strong> with others.<\/p>\n

This oil is composed of various essences, which are prickly<\/strong> pear <\/strong>oil from the Eastern Pyrenees<\/strong>, rich in vitamin E<\/strong> and sterols<\/strong>, to lift and firm the skin<\/strong> around your eyes<\/strong>, along safflower oil<\/strong> from Gers<\/strong>, to moisturize your finer epidermis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
