The Artist Collection<\/strong><\/em> initiative by ABK6<\/strong> celebrates the two passions of Francis Ab\u00e9cassis<\/strong>.. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Last April 18th 2024 was launched the 4th edition of the ABK6 Cognac Artist Collection<\/em> by the Domaine Ab\u00e9cassis. Pursuing a real success through a collaboration with various artists, that either pleased epicureans and Cognac enthusiasts (photo credits: Domaine Abecassis).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Still developed in the Chez Maillard<\/em> estate in Claix, last Thursday, April 18 2024, this Artist Collection<\/em> edition was born at the initiative of Francis Ab\u00e9cassis in 2019 in order to celebrate a connection between the very suitable and colorful universes of Art and Cognac. <\/strong>By AL<\/em><\/div>\n

This Artist collection<\/strong><\/em> by ABK6<\/strong> gathers a genuine reflexion<\/strong>..<\/p>\n

Indeed, at this occasion, the artworks<\/strong> of the various artists<\/strong>, that already collaborated to this inspired project<\/strong>, are temporarily exhibited throughout those cellars<\/strong> for a certain period. A good occasion to better know the laureate<\/strong> of this year Audrey Sedano<\/strong>, along the distinct universes<\/strong> from the other applicants<\/strong> of this year L\u00e9o Alcaraz<\/strong> and Mathilde Combot<\/strong>.  <\/div>\n

For instance, a creation of the artist Audrey Sedano<\/strong> was chosen by the ABK6<\/strong><\/a> founder Francis Ab\u00e9cassis<\/strong>, to illustrate this new edition of this Artist Collection<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. A limited-edition<\/strong> collection is naturally issued for the “first arrived first served”<\/strong><\/em>. <\/div>\n

Each year, since 2019<\/strong>, this unique collection<\/strong> honors a local artist<\/strong>.. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thus, this realization<\/strong> illustrates in a certain way the wish of authenticity and modernity of ABK6 Cognacs<\/strong>. By the way, this collection<\/strong> offers a unique and full sensory<\/strong> experience, where your tasting<\/strong> moment may be decorated with colors<\/strong>. In fact, each edition of this Artist Collection<\/strong><\/em> tells its own and unique story<\/strong>, embodied in a true delight<\/strong>. In this case, ABK6<\/strong> wishes to display the artistic<\/strong> inspiration of Audrey Sedano<\/strong>, around the heritage of Charente<\/strong>, with this R\u00e9serve Cognac<\/strong><\/em>, where the illustrious Vaisseau Moebius<\/strong><\/em> is reinterpreted as a comic strip<\/strong> echo of the emblematic building, from the city of Angoul\u00eame<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This bottle<\/strong> is a summary of the richness of the region<\/strong>.. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Therefore the Cognac ABK6<\/strong>‘s typography is unveiled as a pattern<\/strong>, referring to the art of calligraphy<\/strong>, used in the cellars<\/strong> on Cognac<\/strong> barrels. Thereafter, the surrounding colors<\/strong> somehow symbolize this plural territory<\/strong>, from the blue<\/strong> water of the Charente<\/strong> river, until the green<\/strong> shades of the overall vineyards<\/strong>, passing by the honey<\/strong> dress from any random Cognac<\/strong> juice.  Without forgetting a mixture of linocut<\/strong> for an anchor<\/strong> in tradition and craftsmanship (reference to the papermaking<\/strong> past of Angoul\u00eame<\/strong>), and even some digital<\/strong> creation, reference to the resolutely modern<\/strong> times of this so-called Cit\u00e9 des Valois<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Aging in new barrels<\/strong> for 6 to 8 months, then passing many years into red and old barrels<\/strong>..  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
Audrey Sedano<\/strong> is either a visual artist<\/strong>, illustrator<\/strong> and comic book<\/strong> author. She founded Editions du Petit Saturnin<\/strong><\/em>, publisher of sound comics<\/strong> and art books<\/strong> between Angoul\u00eame<\/strong> and Paris<\/strong>. Therefore, she directs the Patrimoine Augment\u00e9<\/strong><\/em>‘s art studio<\/strong>, dedicated to promote some French heritag<\/strong>e and is represented by the Showroom57<\/strong><\/em> art gallery<\/strong>, in Angoul\u00eame<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

This Cognac<\/strong> was cultivated in situ<\/strong><\/em>, via<\/em> alcoholic<\/strong> and malolactic<\/strong> fermentation, in thermoregulated stainless steel vats<\/strong>, before a double distillation on lees<\/strong>, in typical Charentais<\/em><\/strong> copper stills<\/strong> of 16<\/strong> and 25HL<\/strong>. Still only composed of Ugni-Blanc<\/strong><\/em> grape variety, from average age of vines<\/strong> of 40 years<\/strong>. <\/div>\n

This limited-edition Cognac<\/strong> contains a ABK6 Reserve <\/strong>cuv\u00e9e<\/em><\/a>, displaying an elegant nose<\/strong> reveals a beautiful and fruity balance<\/strong>, ranging from fresh seasonal fruits<\/strong> until the fragrances of candied fruits<\/strong>. Then, a palate gets unveiled with supple and generous aromas of vanilla<\/strong> and a woody<\/strong> aromatic persistence, enhanced with a spicy<\/strong> finish.<\/p>\n
