From September 26 to October 5, 2025 (and even longer), the M28 \u2013 Terres de Culture<\/em><\/a> association invites locals and visitors to an extraordinary artistic journey and residency, better known as Les Chemins du Vivant<\/em>. On the menu, more than 100 free and exciting events are spread across 80 venues, spread all over the Occitanian region, and more precisely in H\u00e9rault department, offer ten days of discovery, creation, and sharing around all forms of live performance. Each residency serves as a laboratory of ideas, encouraging intimate or collective encounters, conceived as poetic breaths. Born from the Montpellier-S\u00e8te <\/strong>bid to obtain the title of European Capital of Culture 2028<\/strong><\/em>, the dynamic M28<\/strong><\/em><\/a> association continues its commitment<\/strong> by bringing together artists<\/strong>, from this vast region<\/strong>. This Chemins du Vivant<\/strong><\/em> collaborative project<\/strong> has built lasting connections with numerous municipalities<\/strong> and intercommunalities<\/strong>, from the H\u00e9rault M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e<\/strong><\/em> complex to Le Grau du Roi<\/strong>, including S\u00e8te Agglop\u00f4le<\/strong> and Grand Pic Saint-Loup<\/strong>. After a year of artistic residencies<\/strong>, the time has come to reveal these experiments to their audience<\/strong>. Theatre<\/strong>, dance<\/strong>, performance art<\/strong>, visual arts<\/strong>, and music<\/strong> make up an eclectic program<\/strong>, where the exploration of the living <\/strong>notion is the guiding thread<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Over the past 14 months<\/strong>, through a call for artist<\/strong><\/em> applications, the Montpellier 2028<\/strong><\/em> project aims to be spread across more than 130 municipalities<\/strong>. The launch was marked by a concert by Blick Bassy<\/strong> at the Domaine d\u2019O<\/strong><\/em>. Many highlights<\/strong> follow, starring street theatre<\/strong> with the Begat Theatre<\/strong><\/em> at Le Peyrou<\/strong>, along inspired choreographic <\/strong>creations by Nicolas Fayol<\/strong> and Salia Sanou<\/strong>, plus a children <\/strong>oriented DJ set<\/strong> at the Pagezy Hall<\/strong><\/em>, and other unexpected performances, such as the action by La Mondiale G\u00e9n\u00e9rale <\/em><\/strong>company at the Montmaur Woods <\/strong>(photo credits: AP). <\/p>\n

Iconic locations<\/strong> will also host these experiences<\/strong>, from the Aniane Abbey<\/strong> to Ch\u00e2teau Laurens<\/strong> in Agde<\/strong>, from the Lunel Canal<\/strong> to the Mosson <\/strong>natural site. All of these places<\/strong> can be connected thanks to the Festicar<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>application, a cultural carpooling<\/strong> service. Meanwhile, SNCF Gares & Connexions<\/strong> <\/em>is partnering with this multicultural event<\/strong>, through a series of exhibitions<\/strong> and performances<\/strong> in the different train stations<\/strong> of Agde<\/strong>, S\u00e8te<\/strong>, Frontignan<\/strong>, Montpellier<\/strong>, Lunel<\/strong>, and Vic-la-Gardiole<\/strong>, from September 8 <\/strong>to October 24<\/strong>, 2025<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

As you can see, with this Les Chemins du Vivant <\/strong><\/em>path, the M28<\/strong> association and Montpellier<\/strong> municipality both confirm their respective roles as artistic <\/strong>and civic <\/strong>catalysts, offering a sensitive <\/strong>and festive journey<\/strong> through the Occitanian<\/strong> region. For example, the Pension de Famille <\/strong><\/em>structure, with their Gardeno Paradizo<\/strong><\/em>, that hosts various residents<\/strong> in social reintegration<\/strong>. In this multifunctional living space<\/strong>, there is also a mini-nursery<\/strong>, and in the adjoining nourishing garden<\/strong>, a kitchen tableware<\/strong> made of recycled materials<\/strong> has just been installed, simply named The Growing Kitchen<\/strong><\/em>, decorated with a patchwork <\/strong>of fabric <\/strong>scraps.<\/p>\n

Finally, a bit further and closer to the Mediterranean Sea<\/strong>, you will be able to admire the Parcours Flow<\/strong><\/em>, represented by several artists<\/strong>, inspired by marine life<\/strong>, showed in the Mus\u00e9e de l’Etang de Thau<\/strong><\/em>. Before, contemplating a unique artwork<\/strong>, baptized Mare Nostrum<\/strong><\/em>, captured by the photographer Markus Kaesler<\/strong>, at the Mus\u00e9e de la Mer <\/strong><\/em>in S\u00e8te<\/strong>, filled with model ships <\/strong>of all kinds<\/strong>, showcasing a collection <\/strong>of 2,749 <\/strong>small sea-colored photographs<\/strong>, paying tribute to as many victims<\/strong> who attempted to cross the Mediterranean Sea<\/strong>. Without forgetting the Superbemarch\u00e9<\/strong> <\/em>exhibition, about citrus thematics in the MIAM<\/em> Museum<\/strong>, also in S\u00e8te<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
