Agnès b. returns to perfumery with two new fragrances, Le Parfum and L’Eau, a floral and intimate duet creation

At over 80 years old, the illustrious French fashion designer Agnès b. makes a quiet yet impactful return to the dynamic world of niche perfumery, already boosted by differents projects (photo credits: Agnès b.).
As far as we know, more than fifteen years after her last olfactory creation, the French designer unveils Le Parfum and L’Eau, a new perfume duet, recently launched in her fully renovated Vieux-Colombier boutique, in Paris. You would discover here a real bouquet of fresh flowers and nostalgy, full of iconographic references from the past. By AL & ST
Developed in collaboration with New-Zealander perfumer Isaac Sinclair and produced by Extend Beauty Paris, these two new scents stand out with a light, floral composition. This singular bouquet highlights mock orange (seringat), also known as poet’s jasmine, in the both versions. Then, combined with tuberose, green tea, ambroxan, enhanced by a subtle touch of saffron, for Le Parfum and magnolia, jasmine, nashi pear and peony, for L’Eau. The result is two fragrances, that is both vibrant and gentle, delicately evolving on the skin, without ever becoming overpowering. The fragrance is available in two formats, named Le Parfum (as for Eau de Parfum) and L’Eau (as for Eau de Toilette).
Those are refillable bottles, with their geometric lines, eventually unveiling a heart drawing, either in soft gold or powder pink tones. Those flasks reflect a certain sense of timeless elegance. This launch remains true to the aesthetic values of the designer Agnès b., looking as discreet, personal, and free from any excess. Indeed, far from any traditional commercial logic, this project embodies a thoughtful, but also artisanal approach to creation. For information, the designer was personally involved in every step of the conception process, in tandem with the nez, by even bringing freshly picked garden flowers to each development session over the seasons.
