Grand Frais celebrates all wine terroirs with Laurent Derhé at their 2025 Fall Wine Foire Aux Vins

The Grand Frais grocery market chain showcases this year 2025 a remarkable selection of wines from all sides of France, but not only. All carefully selected by Laurent Derhé, Meilleur Ouvrier de France as Sommelier. Combining a certain power, finesse, and authenticity, these vintages each tell the story of their original terroir.
Therefore, be ready from September 29th to October 18th, 2025 (and until the October, 19th in some selected stores), to immerse yourself into the Grand Frais chain, inviting all wine enthusiasts to discover this new Wine Fall Fair. Discovering the gems of the Rhône and Languedoc-Roussillon appellations, as the favorite selection of Laurent Derhé, a MOF Sommelier..
This year again, Grand Frais relies on the expertise of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France as sommelier, better known as Laurent Derhé. He has selected six favorite wines, four red and two white ones, for their precision, balance, and good value. His expert eye guides wine lovers toward reliable, distinctive, and affordable bottles.
Another pillar of the selection, resides in their long-standing partner winemakers. Among them, five estates, guarantors of responsible and deeply rooted viticulture, are highlighted, which are the Château le Bedat (Bordeaux), Château Planères (Roussillon), Domaine Christophe Savoye (Chiroubles), Domaine de Castelnau (Pays d’Oc), and Domaine de la Chézatte (Sancerre). As far as we know, they share with Grand Frais, a constant commitment to quality and a trusting collaboration.

For instance, Grand Frais applies the same rigorous criteria to its wine offerings, as it does to its fresh produce, so to say a short, clear, and high-quality range. Apparently about 65% of the producers have been loyal to the brand for over a decade, demonstrating a lasting commitment. Regarding this wine selection, available soon at the 2025 Fall Wine Fair, Grand Frais confirms their ambition to make fine wines more accessible, without compromising on quality or authenticity. We start our wine tour with the Beaujolais region, the 2023 Vieilles Vignes cuvée, from the Christophe Savoye estate, embodies the elegance of Gamay. Produced from granite soils, this Chiroubles AOP reveals a ruby color and a vibrant nose of red fruits. On the palate, fine tannins, spicy notes, and a beautiful persistence seduce lovers of fresh and expressive wines. Ideal with charcuterie, grilled meats, or cheeses, this wine comes from a 20-hectare family estate, committed to responsible agriculture (HVE 3).
Finally, in Alsace, the Riesling Grand Cru by the Léon Grimm 2022 domain, this reference is a favorite from the MOF sommelier Laurent Derhé, notably seducing him with its freshness. Notes of citrus, white flowers, and minerality harmonize in a taut and lively palate. A straightforward wine, perfect with seafood, Asian cuisine, or vegetable quiche. Here, La Cave du Vieil Armand, a wine cooperative, founded in 1958, now brings together 60 families, dedicated to organic and sustainable viticulture (HVE 3).
Ambre 2022 is an AOC Vinsobres by the Domaine La Vinsobraise is made from 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, this characterful red wine reveals all the richness of the clay-limestone soils of Vinsobres. Vinified, while using traditional methods, with a prolonged 21-day maceration, it seduces with its nose of red fruit jam, dried fig, and even garrigue, enhanced with licorice and black pepper.
On the palate, the balance is warm, with soft tannins and a lingering spicy finish. It perfectly matches with fine cheeses.
Monts et Collines 2022 is an organic AOC Crozes-Hermitage, by the Cave de Tain is a 100% Syrah based wine, aged in stainless steel vats to preserve its freshness, expresses all the character of the granite and alluvial soils of the northern part from the Rhône Valley. Inside, find some aromas of blueberry, blackberry, violet, and black pepper open the tasting, followed by a structured and harmonious palate. It perfectly pairs with roasted fishes or fine cheeses. The Cave de Tain, with its 300 winegrowers, combines respect for the environment with high quality standards.
Tracteur Bleu 2024 is an IGP Pays d’Oc from the Desprat Saint Verny is composed from single-varietal Grenache noir, traditionally vinified on volcanic soils, giving this wine a unique smoky minerality. The nose evokes black cherry, spices, and warm stones.
The palate is generous, round, perfectly balanced between fruit and freshness. This elegant wine would naturally enhance grilled fishes and tomato pasta dishes.


Thereafter, don’t also miss the so-called P de Planères 2022 wine. This cuvée is an AOP Côtes du Roussillon from the Château Planères Lasseille is harvested by hand, before the grapes are extensively macerated for an optimal extraction. This wine offers an expressive nose of spices and a deep color. The sommelier recommends to enjoy it with generous Mediterranean cuisine.
While the 2021 Margaux, untitled Les Gravières de Tayac, selected by Laurent Derhé, seduces with its aromas of black fruits, elegant tannins, and a smoky finish. Alongside it, the Bordeaux Château le Bedat 2022 offers a supple and fruity palate, from a HVE-certified family estate, it embodies the alliance between tradition and modernity.


Then, discover the Cabotte du Chapitre, as a Viré-Clessé 2023, imagined by the historic house J.M. Aujoux, a Mâconnais reference since 1938. This 100% Chardonnay comes from clay-limestone soils and undergoes traditional Burgundian vinification. This white wine may undoubtedly charm you with its aromas of pear, apple, white flowers, and hints of butter and honey. The palate is ample, with a silky texture and subtle acidity, perfectly expressing this grape’s typicity. An ideal pairing for creamy poultry, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses.
Without missing the Viognier 2024 by the Domaine de Castelnau is an IGP Pays d’Oc. The historic Languedoc estate of Domaine de Castelnau offers here an expressive and generous Viognier typed wine, from sustainable viticulture. Its nose reveals floral and fruity notes (lily, fresh apricot), while the mouth is dynamic, structured, and ends with a gourmet finish. Perfect with herb-roasted grillades, goat cheese toast with honey, or lemon shrimp.

Last but not least, the Sancerre 2023–2024 is a creation of the Domaine de la Chézatte. For your information, in the Loire Valley, the Domaine de la Chézatte, passed down over four generations, delivering a classic Sauvignon Blanc, mostly grown on clay-limestone and siliceous soils. Appearing as bright and clear, this elixir opens with aromas of citrus and blackcurrant bud. The palate strikes a subtle balance between fruit freshness and a certain mineral tension. A perfect match for seafood, Asian cuisine, or some famed Crottin de Chavignol cheese.
Finally, connoisseurs would find what they’re looking for with the Prestige selection. Three exceptional vintages are featured, a 2020 Barolo from Piedmont, a 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and a 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes, all chosen for their combined character and finesse senses.
Thus, the Cuvée Prestige 2020 is an organic AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape by the Domaine de la Graveirette, elaborated by Julien Mus on stony and sandy soils, this Demeter-certified biodynamic wine is a blend of Grenache and Syrah. With an intense purple color, it unfolds aromas of red and black fruits, enhanced with plenty of floral notes.


Let’s head to Italy with the Barolo Cuvée Prestige 2020, from the Sansilvestro estate. Exclusively made from Nebbiolo, aged during 38 months, including 18 months in barrels, this Piedmontese wine combines a certain intensity and finesse. Its garnet color and spicy nose, including hints of vanilla, dried flowers, and licorice herald a full, velvety palate with melted tannins. It beautifully pairs with game, braised veal, or mature cheeses. Founded in 1871, this family-run winery combines innovation and tradition and has been certified sustainable winery since 2022. For its part, the Pouilly-Fuissé is an organic Vieilles Vignes 2023 aged cuvée by the Domaine de Lalande. This acclaimed juice, extracted from old vines (planted between 1933 and 1965), is based on organic Chardonnay variety, flourishing on well-exposed hillsides. Aged 12 months in vats and barrels, this liquid unveils genuine golden hue, a nose of citrus and even buttery yellow fruit, plus a palate that is as fleshy as lively. Excellent with river fishes, or seafood. The palate is rich and elegant, offering a beautiful persistence, this is perfect with spicy dishes.
As you can see, each of these cuvées embodies the authenticity of its terroir and the craftsmanship of passionate winemakers, all engaged in sustainable viticulture, certified HVE or Terra Vitis. A delicious opportunity to discover at Grand Frais.
