Let’s step into Puréality cosmetics and their facial skincare, powered by botanical biotechnology

The French cosmetics brand Puréality unveils a range of facial skincare, built on a scientific approach, better known as botanical biotechnology. At the heart of the formulas lies a patented complex, baptized BIOME-RXCELL, combining active plant cells, extracted from Rhodiola rosea, an adaptogenic plant, with prebiotics to support the balance of the skin microbiome. In 2018, while based in Hong Kong, where his long career within the cosmetics industry had taken him for several decades, Nicolas de Klebnikoff received a family album, sent by his mother. Inside, he discovered a 19th-century letter, signed by Alexis de Levchine, an ancestor who was a botanist and also explorer.

Commissioned by the bygone russian Tsar to map the still-unexplored steppes of Central Asia, where Alexis documented his botanical discoveries and their medicinal uses in a book, untitled Description des hordes et des steppes Kirghiz-Kazaks. At the heart of this herbarium, he described various plants, able of adapting to the most extreme conditions, those plants that would later be known as adaptogens.

After two years of intensive research and development, supported by a scientific committee including Naolys, the University of Bordeaux Sciences, and INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment), then the first Puréality skincare product, derived from botanical biotechnology was launched in 2020.

For skin prone to shine and blemishes, the Sérum Matifiant Anti-Imperfections (Mattifying Anti-Blemish Serum) targets random excess sebum and would refine your skin texture. Its ultra-light milky texture helps mattify your complexion, to reduce the appearance of imperfections, and improve overall skin texture, while preserving your skin’s natural balance.
