Savor some refined Japanese cuisine inside the Kura restaurant, nearby Paris La Muette

For over a decade, the Kura restaurant has established itself as a must-visit destination for lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine, and was created by a French entrepreneur Guillaume Arditi, originally from the world of finance, plus a deep affection for Japan. This elegant venue offers a refined immersion into the culinary traditions of Japan, using only premium ingredients, directly imported from Japan, starring artisanal sake, rare teas, premium Niigata rice, traditional soy sauce, and other delicacies, all sourced from small local producers. The setting, minimalist and serene, exudes a certain Zen aesthetics. A wood-clad dining room with subdued lighting creates a calm ambiance, complemented by a private lounge at the back for intimate gatherings. In warmer months, a welcoming terrace at the front of the building provides a pleasant alternative. But the true magic happens in the kitchen, where Chef Yoshihiro Suzuki, a master of kaiseki cuisine, prepares thoughtful tasting menus that celebrate the essence of Japanese gastronomy. By AP

Therefore, we deeply invite you to invest the Kura restaurant, as a true rare gem, where you can savor the spirit of Japan in a refined Parisian setting. At lunchtime, the restaurant offers accessible various menus (starting at €24 and €26), including an amuse-bouche, sashimi, a daily fish, and dessert. For something more elaborate, don’t miss the the bento of the day, available for €39. In the evening, the experience becomes elevated, with two tasting menus (at €48 and €68, served on-site only), showcasing the chef’s finesse through a series of delicate seasonal dishes. The menu changes every month, but we could give you examples of past dishes, including chawanmushi with watercress and sansho pepper, with avocado-cucumber-ginger gazpacho, unless you prefer salt-crusted sea bream, or grilled lamb rack with red miso and yuzu, accompanied by Haenuki rice and house-made miso soup (photo credits: Kura).

Those days of 2025, the traditional sushi and sashimi, including some fish parts, burnt with a blowtorch, stand on the menu. In the other hand, a French touch has been recently provided with a hint of foie gras, married with a grilled meat piece.
On the sweet side, creativity shines with desserts, such as peach compote, with yuzu, chocolate tart with Hojicha ice cream, or a matcha with strawberry shortcake, for a refined finish. An exceptional sake selection, warm and attentive service, and a menu that evolves each month, all contribute to a truly memorable dining experience.
