With this fresh extrait de parfum, remind that “You were not born to hide. To be here is to be seen”..

In 2025, the house of Nishane unveils their new Meant to Be Seen fragrance, an olfactory creation by Jordi Fernandez, already standing out as one of the fragrance issues of the year. True to the philosophy of the Istanbul-based brand, a sensory storytelling, where each perfume reveals a facet of humanity, this new composition pays tribute to the silent beauty of those who move quietly through the world, yet whose light never fades.

In fact, Meant to Be Seen is not only meant for introverts or discreet souls, whose presence is felt rather than proclaimed. It also celebrates those moments of withdrawal, when voice becomes a whisper, when inner clarity wavers, not to hide them, but to sublimate them. Through this original wake, it seems that Nishane continues its exploration of the emotional power of fragrance, where everyone deserves to be perceived, heard, seen (photo credits: Nishane).

Thus, Meant to Be Seen becomes more than a fragrance, since it becomes a metaphor. Like the famous “52-hertz whale”, whose solitary song was finally heard, it reminds us that every singularity carries its own music.

Here, scent becomes a manifesto, a tribute to inner light, to embraced vulnerability, to the beauty of soft voices..

Inspired by the spirit of Los Angeles city, this composition opens with the luminous transparency of bergamot and the airy softness of violet, or a fresh and delicate opening accord, like a first breath of confidence. At its heart, iris butter, as noble as velvety, converses with moxalone and a subtle hint of civet. The whole evokes fragility transformed into strength, a balance between modesty and intensity, between shadow and radiance. Finally, the base warms around a duo of sesame and sandalwood, whose toasted and milky tones blend with ambrettolide and akigalawood. The latter, born in the Givaudan laboratories, derived from patchouli essential oil, unfolds its woody and peppery notes, adding to this juice a sort of modern amber sensuality.

For your information, akigalawood is an ingredient born of biotechnology, able to stand out for its chameleon-like character, lighter than traditional patchouli, it nonetheless borrows its sensuality and warm aura, while adding a new sense of transparency. In Meant to Be Seen, this ingredient acts as a revealer, since it amplifies the woody structure without ever weighing it down, weaving around this perfume a mysterious, vibrant, almost spiritual halo. This new kind of wood evokes transformation, that of shyness into confidence, or of shadow into radiance. Here, Nishane offers a tribute to sensuality, to vulnerability, and to silent resilience. For to be discreet is already to shine.
To be here and wear it, is to be seen.
