Les Places d’Or celebrates their 20th birthday in 2024, with MDI, Olivier Lapidus, IPack, Kintsugi, Foilco and even Gravotech
For nearly three decades, Les Places d’Or, initially founded by Nicolas Zaoui, has established itself as an essential reference in the organization of trade fairs dedicated to luxury. This recognized expertise allows to this Parisian fair to broaden new horizons after celebrating the 20th anniversary of its packaging edition, by launching a new annual edition, dedicated to the hospitality sector.

In line with their success in the field of luxury packaging, the Les Places d’Or show have also launched a trade fair dedicated to luxury hospitality, again scheduled to be held at the Hôtel Le Meurice, in Paris. This event offers a unique platform to a carefully selected selection of around thirty renowned brands. These players, specialized in the supply of prestigious hotels and restaurants, will exhibit their products and innovations to a qualified audience of professionals. Most of the visitors may have included hoteliers, restaurateurs, architects and decorators, all involved in the supplier selection and purchasing processes. The objective is still clear, to promote productive exchanges and establish lasting collaborations, between exhibitors and prescribers.
Therefore, this second edition of Les Places d’Or Design & Luxury Hotel was be held from November 18th to 20th, 2024, with schedules, adapted to professionals in the sector. This event promises to be a unique opportunity to strengthen ties between players in the luxury and hotel industries. Nearly 42 carefully selected exhibitors presented their know-how in five key markets. This year, guests of honor included influential figures, such as Jean-Michel Wilmotte, as renowned architect, along Patrick Mendes, as CEO Europe of the Accor Premium group, but also Nicolas De Gols, as General Manager of the Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, to chair this edition. This year’s exhibitors reflect a harmonious combination of artisanal tradition and technological innovation.
The first edition brought together 1,400 visitors in three days, while the second edition planned to welcome no less than 8,000 guests, or nearly 500 visitors per day. This development not only illustrates the growing enthusiasm for this event, but also its ability to bring together internationally renowned professionals from Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
Among them, the Manufacture d’Histoires Deux-Ponts stands out for its 90 years of experience in high-end printing. This Dauphiné based company, labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV), combines traditional gilding and embossing techniques, full of technological advances, such as photochromes and personalized notebooks. The show also aims to be an immersive experience for its visitors. In 2024, designer Olivier Lapidus made an impression with the presentation of an innovative hotel bar and a capsule collection of furniture, available for sale from now, under the CAA by Olivier Lapidus trademark. This bar counter made of Dacryl, and the recycled leathers of the chairs and armchairs are provided by the Atelier des Matières. This type of initiative reflects the desire of Les Places d’Or to go beyond the exhibition, in order to offer a real showcase of upcoming trends in the hospitality sector.
