Spring season, a time of renewal, marks the beginning of an unprecedented symbiosis between fashion and gastronomy. It is in this fresh and harmonious setting that the SO-HATSU event has taken place in March 2025, during Paris Fashion Week. A trunk show featuring innovative Japanese designers will precede this sensory experience, an invitation to artistic and culinary exploration. By AP & ST

When lifestyle meets fashion, in perfect harmony with the comeback of springtime..

A high-end selection of Japanese designers were invited to introduce theirs creations at the occasion of this SO-HATSU, all pioneers in their fields, each bringing a unique and personal perspective drawn from their rich cultural heritage. They seek to establish themselves on the French fashion scene and share an original vision, where respect for craftsmanship and traditions blends with contemporary trends. This is a rare opportunity to appreciate the convergence of two worlds, that of Japanese fashion, known for its certain subtlety and refinement, and that of French culture, renowned for its creativity and boldness (photo credits: AP).

SO-HATSU is not limited to a simple fashion presentation, since this event also offered an exceptional culinary experience. After exploring the creations of various Japanese designers, the fashion deciders were invited to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience, where Japanese flavors would easily fuse with French culinary art. Indeed, Le Clos Y restaurant, distinguished by its gastronomic excellence, would provide them the perfect setting for this sensory journey. Here and below, you can have an overview around their French and Japanese fusion gastronomy, imagined by the Michelin guide referenced chef.

During this evening, guests will have the opportunity to discover the creations of designers, such as Chika Yokoyama, founder of the Chabi brand, a benchmark in the world of wellness lingerie in Japan. Since opening her first boutique in 1997 in Kobe, it seems that Chika has revolutionized her own vision of lingerie by bringing an innovative approach, mostly focused on comfort and body care sights.

Her philosophy could be easily defined by “To dress is to take care of oneself”, transforming each piece of lingerie into a true wellness ritual, inviting women to feel elegant and confident every day. Today, her creations are celebrated in Japan but not only, and Chika Yokoyama is considered a key figure in the wellness lingerie industry (photo credits : Chabi).

One of this evening’s other key designers would also be SAE Fukui, founder of the Luciorta brand. Thus, SAE Fukui has chosen to express herself through specific creations that both combine fashion and environmental awareness. After overcoming personal health challenges, she founded Luciorta, a brand whose distinctive feature is upcycling, as the reuse of materials, particularly curtain scraps, usually destined for disposal (photo credits : Luciorta).

For your information, this approach is not only aesthetically pleasing, but carries a profound message about how personal choices and commitment can transform reality. This philosophy highlights the importance of including people with disabilities, while raising public awareness about the environmental impact of the textile industry. For SAE Fukui, “being content” means appreciating what we have and celebrating our inner richness rather than constantly striving for more.

Another must-see brand present at this event would be REGINA ROMANTICO, founded by Motomi Kadono. Since its beginnings in 2000 selling cashmere in Nepal, we have learned that REGINA ROMANTICO has become a benchmark in the world of women’s fashion. The brand’s philosophy is based on the idea that every woman is the queen of her own kingdom. Plus, REGINA ROMANTICO thus accompanies women in their quest for grace and elegance, far from the dictates of fashion and social conventions. Thereafter, Motomi Kadono aims to empower every woman to fully embrace her individuality, helping her free herself from external pressures to find her own style, as a true invitation to freedom and authenticity (photo credits : REGINA ROMANTICO).

REGINA ROMANTICO‘s creations are a hymn to timeless beauty, and the brand is distinguished by its use of noble and refined materials, including cashmere. Each piece is designed to enhance the silhouette, while providing some true comfort and well-being, making each woman the queen of her everyday life.
