Long ridiculed, the box of wine notion is now enjoying a second life with Alentí, which is reinventing the Bag-in-Box concept. Launched in 2025, this French project offers high-quality, environmentally friendly wine designed for everyday use, far removed from the sometimes intimidating codes of the traditional wine world.
As far as we know, Alentí thus positions itself as a committed player, combining quality, accessibility, and environmental responsibility. A new way of drinking wine, convivial, elegant, and adapted to contemporary lifestyles, which places this new wave of Bag-in-Box at the heart of a simple and refined sensory experience. By ST & AL
At the heart of Alentí are five friends, either entrepreneurs, digital experts, and wine enthusiasts, who observed that the complexity and jargon of this competitive market have alienated many consumers. Their ambition, to simplify any wine experience without sacrificing taste, the diversity of terroirs, or conviviality (photo credits: Alentí).
This original Alentí name, evokes the idea of slowing down, while savoring, and fully enjoying every moment. The Bag-in-Box chosen here by the brand is not only practical, since it allows this wine to be preserved for up to six weeks after opening, without oxidation. Lightweight, recyclable, and eco-friendly, it reduces the carbon footprint by a factor of eight compared to a glass bottle. Each wine is crafted from carefully selected grape varieties, all grown in iconic French terroirs, guaranteeing a certain aromatic richness and preserved authenticity. All those wines are vegan, gluten-free, and have no added sugar, with a controlled calorie count of between 95 and 118 calories per glass, depending on the type.
At first sight, Alentí Blanc blends Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Chardonnay for a lively and balanced wine. Fresh and aromatic, it reveals notes of white flowers, peach, and lemon, with a long and elegant mineral finish. Ideal with fish, seafood, cheese, or spicy dishes, it embodies the freshness and lightness of a French summer.
In another hand, Alentí Rosé, a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, and Malbec, is distinguished by its pale color and aromas of wild strawberry and ripe cherry. Light, cheerful, and versatile, it perfectly pairs with grilled meats, salads, or simple pasta dishes, embodying true spontaneity and sharing.
Last but no least, Alentí Rouge, a blend of Malbec, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Grenache grape varieties, somehow reflects the generosity of the South of France. Its deep purple color, notes of ripe red fruit and sweet spices, along smooth tannins that make it a pleasant wine, perfect with grilled fish or a flavorful vegetarian dish.
