A new Parisian rendez-vous, dedicated to Asian scents..

From September 23rd to 25th, 2026, the Bastille Design Center has been hosting the first edition of the Asia Perfume Show, a new Paris event, dedicated to the fast-evolving fragrance scene across Asia. Organized by Nez, this plural olfactory show aimed to bring together more than 40 perfume houses and industry players, offering European professionals and fragrance enthusiasts a closer look at brands that relatively remain underrepresented in the European market. If you need more time to discover some of them, the KAMS Paris store proposes a wide selection of those references, for just one month in Paris. By ST & AL

Following a first edition focused on China in 2025, this event broadens its scope this year to explore the diversity of Asian perfumery. The exhibitor line-up brought together independent houses, along creative studios and fragrance specialists from different markets. Among them are AENTOS, Alchemist, Amal Jain, Aurya, Bienbiang, Chôl Aromatique, ChuJian, Cinojad, Cottee, CPL Aromas, D.Grayi and Ebers Papyrus, alongside Effortless, With To Be, Forward, KST Scent, La Joie, Liberta and Mangla (photo credits: AL).

The selection continued with NOWAS, Ophie, Pesade, Prin, Sakuna, Sasva, Van Dang, Wren Atelier, Zhiwuzhi and Zhufu AI, reflecting the breadth of the emerging Asian fragrance ecosystem. Over three days, professionals, buyers, media, content creators and fragrance enthusiasts were able to meet founders and discover new approaches to perfumery.

For example, the Smell Talks, featuring around 20 talks and panel discussions, has been exploring the transformations shaping the sector, from consumer trends and cultural influences to international expansion. With nearly 3,000 visitors expected and more than 50 buyers and distributors, the Asia Perfume Show positions Paris as a meeting point between Asian creativity and the European fragrance market.

Then, following this Asia Perfume Show in Paris, from September 26 through the end of October 2026, the polyvalent KAMS Paris beauty store would host no less than 26 Asian fragrance houses, most of them were exhibiting at the Show. Located at 6 Avenue de l’Opéra, the niche perfume boutique would turn its lower level into a dedicated space for discovering a new generation of Asian perfumers and fragrance brands.

The month-long residency would bring together houses from China, Thailand and other emerging fragrance markets across Asia. Thus, visitors would be able to explore, smell and eventually purchase their creations, including those by To Define, Cottee, Chu Jian, Dusita, Borntostandout, Bu Feng,Voice From the Sky, Ebers Papyrus, Le Gout de Peau and Outis. Rather than presenting a single definition of Asian perfumery, this initiative highlights a wide range of creative approaches and cultural influences. Traditional materials, local landscapes, cultural heritage and personal memories meet here contemporary techniques and new interpretations.

More than 120 references to discover for only one month..

For instance, woods, resins, flowers, aromatic plants and urban environments become raw materials for fragrances that move beyond established European codes. As far as we know, China’s long-standing fragrance culture provides a particularly rich source of inspiration. The concept of xiāng 香 has been part of Chinese cultural life for centuries, from spiritual and medicinal practices to the refined rituals of scholars. Today’s young fragrance houses are reinterpreting this heritage through a contemporary lens, combining tradition, experimentation and personal storytelling. The selection has been curated with the combined guidance of independent perfumer as KAMS Paris fragrance advisor Samuel Rolland, who accompany visitors throughout the residency and shed light on the various stories, compositions and identities behind each creation. For KAMS Paris, the project reflects its longstanding commitment to independent niche perfumery and international discovery. For visitors, it offers an opportunity to encounter 26 distinct olfactory perspectives on Asian fragrance and a glimpse into how Asia’s emerging perfume scene is helping shape the future of oriental scents.
